With the release of Tegan & Sara’s new album, Sainthood, there’s a bunch of new photos of the twinsome emerging, and with the new photos comes a slew of conversation around what they’re wearing. I found this photo, below, on a T&S forum where discussion was raging about their outfits and their make-up. Some people are loving it, some people not.

I think they both look great in this photo! Their maturity and femininity really shines through and they prove they can make simple look really stylish. I love that they’re wearing make-up, and fitted jeans and tailored jackets. As someone who would happily change outfits 5 times a day, I love seeing my favorite lesbians mixing things up and moving beyond jeans and t-shirts.

Ruby Rose getting replaced?

Well this is one rumor I really, really, really hope isn’t true! Word on the street is that Australian MTV hostess-with-the-mostess Ruby Rose, might be getting replaced by Miss Universe contestant, Erin McNaught. Rumor has it that Ruby ruffled some feathers with MTV’s major sponsor Vodafone when she went to the US for the Video Music Awards and to film the special, Ruby Rocks New York. But she has denied the rumors, saying this is the first she’s heard of any change and that she expects to stay with MTV well into next year.

As Ruby is easily the hottest MTV VJ in history, I think they’ll be making a HUGE mistake if they let her go. But with her looks, style and absolute zzzexiness in front of the camera, she’ll be a star no matter where she ends up!

Lindsay Lohan isn’t quitting fashion just yet

Despite the the lukewarm (ok, cold – I’m trying to be nice!) reaction to the launch of her first clothing line, the fashion world hasn’t seen the last of Lindsay! Ms Lohan plans to be much more involved in the next Emanual Ungaro show in Paris in January to avoid anymore surprises when the models hit the runway. Surprises you ask? Well apparently Lindsay wasn’t aware that the models would be wearing those hideous nipple tassels before they walked out. I hope she was as disturbed as we were and that they are definitely gone for good!

We’ll be keeping an eye out for the next show, and *fingers and toes* her show is a massive success next time round.

The tour announcements keep on coming, and now we are coming to the USA in February, March and April of 2010! It’s going to be a long one, but don’t worry, we are taking a break part way through so we stay fresh! Gossip sites are alive today with news that Samantha Ronson was in Beverly Hills and she.. went outside for a cigarette. It’s not really news, I know, but she looked stylin’ while she did it, so I’m going to talk about it as well. The thing I love most about Samantha Ronson is her consistency when it comes to her wardrobe. She’s got the whole tortured-artist-rock-child-who-doesn’t-give-a-shiz look going on and she totally owns it, every time. And she’s a DJ who doesn’t look like every other metrotastically-groomed DJ in the entire world, which is totally refreshing.

Aside from the smoking, news sources are also reporting that Sam was a hiton the 90210 set during filming for an upcoming episode recently and made friends by chatting about girls!

E!UK caught up with Matt Lanter (Liam) and Michael Steger (Navid) at I Fly Hollywood and the twosome chatted about the DJ’s upcoming guest spot. “Liam’s trying to talk Navid into going over and talking to some girls and Samantha chimes in. It was fun. She’s cool,” said Matt. Plus, it was a surprise for the cast. “She was in the script under some other character’s name,” explains Michael, “and then the day of, Samantha Ronson showed up.”

Lindsay, the reviews are in

In Paris this week, Lindsay Lohan released her first clothing line for fashion house, Emanuel Ungaro, after being appointed the brand’s Artistic Advisor. In an attempt to youngerfy (yes I just made that word up) the brand, Lindsay launched clothes in a range of bright colors and included lots of hearts, and the fashion elite don’t like it. One particularly harsh review said, “it was an insult to anyone who had ever really worked in design.”

I have to agree with them. Watching the runway show actually made me cringe. Not with disgust, with disappointment. Lindsay, one of Hollywood’s most photographed and stylish young starlets, teams up with fantastic creative director Estrella Archs, and this is all they could come up with? The clothes were boring and tasteless, and oh-so-done-before. The whole thing was just… dull.

Despite the bad reviews, the ultimate test will be how successful the range is when/if it hits stores, so I’ll keep an eye on sales figures and keep you updated.

Cynthia Nixon goes old skool

On the set of the sequel to the Sex and the City movie, Cynthia Nixon has been spotted getting her ‘old skool’ on in this dashing 80′s inspired power suit. I don’t know what makes me more uncomfortable – the shoulder pads, the white stockings/socks/shoes combo or the bob-undercut that looks like it should have a mullet attached at the back. Let’s hope this is part of a flashback and not the fashion director’s attempt to bring nasty back!
